Pulmonary Function Testing

Pulmonary function testing is commonly used to evaluate lung function and diagnose conditions like asthma or other respiratory allergies. These tests measure how well your lungs take in and release air, as well as how efficiently they transfer oxygen into the blood. Common pulmonary function tests include spirometry and peak flow measurement.

• Time: Typically 30 minutes to 1 hour
• Comfort: You’ll be asked to breathe into a machine
• Results: Immediate or within a short period after the test
